At AFGRI Equipment, we recognised in order to continue to be able to continue to meet the needs of our customers, we needed to develop talented workers. This led to the creation of the AFGRI Apprentice Academy, in collaboration with Central Regional TAFE. As part of our training strategy to bolster our technician ranks, the program was implemented to ensure we continue to provide a premium service and highly level of quality to our customers.
For our 2021, we will be recruiting 25 apprentices and 6 part sales trainees at various branches across our WA dealership network. Applications are open from August 2020 with apprentices and parts sales trainees to commence work early 2021.

Parts Trainee Roles & Responsibilities
We are offering candidates the opportunity to work towards a Certificate III in Ag Mechanical Technology, whilst being employed by an industry-leading company.
As part of the AFGRI Apprentice Academy, students will be working towards receiving a highly desirable qualification whilst being employed by an industry-leading company. AFGRI is in the privileged position of working closely with Central Regional TAFE with state-of-the-art facilities devoted to train our next generation of technicians. Students will also receive high quality in-house industry relevant training from our technical advisors, on-the-job training at the branches they are based at and additional product-specific online courses via John Deere University.
On completion of the 4-year apprenticeship course, students will receive a Certificate III in Ag Mechanical Technology. Alternatively, on completion of the 2-year parts traineeship course, students will receive a Certificate III in Automotive Parts Sales.
For the 2021 intake, we are seeking to recruit 25 apprentices and 6 parts trainees to work at our dealerships across Western Australia.
At AFGRI Equipment, students will become specialized in working on a wide range of John Deere equipment. We also supply machinery from other premium suppliers as well as service a wide range of agricultural, industrial and commercial equipment.
Applicants are required to have completed Year 12, preferably at an Ag College. Work experience on large machinery or in the Ag industry is also desirable.
Applicants are requested to list two of our branches they wish to train and work during the application process. If successful, our recruitment team then works to ensure their desired placement, dependent on positions available.
