Returns & Exchange Policy
We allow returns of parts and accessories; however, some limitations and exclusion apply. It is important that you inspect and review your parts immediately upon receipt so that if there are any problems or discrepancies, we can help correct them promptly. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, refer to the AFGRI consumer law statement.

  • Goods will be deemed nonrefundable after 30 days from date of purchase;
    • Unless the part is unfit for the purpose you have made known to our staff, is defective.
  • Returns will only be returned at the discretion of AFGRI and inline with the Returns Conditions below.
  • Returns in relation to machinery or attachments refer to the terms and conditions of sale of machinery, along with those provided at afgri.com.au

Returns Conditions

1)    To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

2)    You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the item is shipped in error by us.

3)    All returned product will be applicable for a 15% restocking fees or that as defined by AFGRI suppliers, which is based on the original purchase price.

4)    All returned products must include a copy of the AFGRI receipt or invoice.

5)    Specially procured and or goods made to order are non-refundable.

6)    Clothing and personal items are non-refundable, unless covered by guarantees under Australian consumer law.

7)    John Deere parts less than $50 inc GST in value are non-refundable, unless covered by guarantees under Australian Consumer law.

8)    Electronic / electrical parts once opened and or used are non-returnable.

Returns process

To return your product, you should:

  1. a)    Verify that your item(s) meet our Return Policy.
  2. b)    Contact your nearest AFGRI branch or email info@afgri.com.au to request a return.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable, unless the item is shipped in error by us.

To verify if your part meets our warranty terms, please see the following information.

Please note that AFGRI do not cover shipping / freight charges for warranty items, unless local exchange is available. The cost of returning these items will be at your own expense.

AFGRI WARRANTY PROCEDURES
AFGRI warrant most products distributed by them and as termed by their suppliers, to be free from defects in material and workmanship as described below. AFGRI reserve the right to inspect any item prior to granting warranty coverage. We pledge our support in obtaining settlement of reasonable and justifiable claims. We offer 90 Day strict warranty on new parts or in line with manufacture guidelines. see below table for individual manufacturer coverage.

What Is Not Warranted – This warranty does not cover:

A&I A/C compressors not installed by a licensed or certified A/C repair shop;

Used products;

Any equipment that has been altered or modified in ways not approved by the manufacturer or AFGRI;

Depreciation or damage caused by normal wear, lack of reasonable and proper maintenance, failure to follow operating instructions/recommendations, misuse, lack of proper protection during storage, vandalism, collision, or accident;

Special order items;

Pistons, rings or liners that are not ordered as parts of an overhaul kit;

Components that have been disassembled or dismantled;

Installation costs, any service calls, or other labour charges, other than for clutches and torque amplifiers as provided below;

Transportation and/or freight costs associated with returning the product

Any premium charged for overtime labour requested by the purchaser;

Incidental or consequential damages or injuries, including, but not limited to, loss of crops, loss of profits, rental of substitute equipment or other commercial loss; or statutory or implied warranties or conditions of merchantability or fitness.

Retailers have no authority to make any representation or promise on behalf of AFGRI or to modify the terms or limitations of this warranty in any way.

Claiming Warranty

1)    Verify the failure meets the above guidelines

2)    Where an AFGRI reseller has sold a part to an end user, the reseller should submit the warranty claim to AFGRI on the end users behalf.

3)    Warranty claims can be submitted to info@afgri.com.au with the following documentation

The original invoice to the end user

Failure date

Description of the failure and supporting photos (if available).

4)    If the warranty claim is approved, either a replacement part will be issued to the reseller or a credit will be provided.

AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW STATEMENT

The statement below this paragraph only applies if (and only to the extent that) the purchaser has acquired or will acquire apart from the grouping listed above (“Part”) as a “consumer” for the purposes of the Australian Consumer Law (and those Parts are of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use or consumption).   Unless the context otherwise requires, terms used in this paragraph  have the meanings given to them in the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), but a reference to “our goods”,    is a reference to a Part that John Deere or AFGRI supplies to the purchaser  and a reference  to “you” is a reference to the purchaser.   This statement overrides anything to the contrary in the paragraphs   following it.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

THE WARRANTY

Subject to the terms of this document, an authorised John Deere dealer (“Dealer”) will provide you with a replacement Part if a new or remanufactured Part is, during the applicable Warranty Term set out above, found by John Deere Limited or Dealer, to be defective in materials or workmanship.

John Deere Limited is not responsible for costs of labour associated with Part removal or installation performed by customer or service providers other than Dealers.

The Part must be returned in line with the AFGRI returns policy.

Parts Warranty term begins on the date of purchase by the original purchaser, (except for certain agricultural tillage, planting, cultivating, harvesting, and application equipment which may have a delayed warranty start date, but only   if established by John Deere and noted by AFGRI on the Purchase Order).

NO IMPLIED WARRANTY OR OTHER REMEDY – TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW,

all terms, conditions, warranties, undertakings, duties or remedies implied by law or statute in relation to the Equipment are excluded and none of John Deere Limited nor any company affiliated with it makes any warranty, representation or promise, express or implied, collateral or antecedent, or  otherwise,  as  to  the  quality  or  performance,  or  freedom from defect of any of its products other than those set forth above, and NO STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY FITNESS, OR QUALITY IS MADE.

NO DEALER WARRANTY – THE DEALER HAS NO AUTHORITY TO MAKE ANY REPRESENTATION OR PROMISE OR ADMISSION ON BEHALF OF JOHN DEERE LIMITED OR TO MODIFY THE TERMS OR LIMITATIONS OF THIS WARRANTY IN ANY WAY. THE DEALER IS NOT AN AGENT OF JOHN DEERE LIMITED.

GENERAL TERM OF SALE, Ownership of all supplied goods, machinery and services rendered does not pass to the purchaser until payment is made in full to AFGRI.

 

LIMIT OF LIABILITY – All Sales, Service and Advice Rendered.

The only remedies the purchaser has in connection with the breach of performance of a warranty term or condition on John Deere Equipment and AFGRI Equipment Australia are those set forth in these warranty conditions or specified by statute and not capable of exclusion by condition C;

To the fullest extent permitted by law of statute neither John Deere Limited nor the AFGRI Equipment Australia shall be liable (in contract, tort or otherwise) in any event or manner for incidental or consequential damage or injury, including, but not limited to, loss of crops, loss of profits, rental or substitute equipment, or other commercial loss or personal injury or death howsoever caused and whether or not the result of negligence;

In any event the total liability of John Deere Limited and AFGRI Equipment Australia for any breach of any term, condition or warranty, express or implied, which cannot lawfully be excluded is limited to the fullest extent permitted to one of the following as determined by John Deere Limited & AFGRI Equipment Australia – the replacement of the defective component of the supply (or payment of the cost of supply) of an equivalent substitute component, or, the repair or payment of the cost of repair of the component.
