A great morning out in Perth with branch open day and mower giveaway
AFGRI Equipment – Perth had the pleasure of hosting a John Deere Open Day at our South Guildford branch earlier this month. The event, held on Saturday, December 5, was to help grow the AFGRI and John Deere brand in the Perth metropolitan area, engaging with new and existing customers.
About 200 people attended the event which included a mix of activities for the whole family including a bouncy castle, face painting, mower demos, food trucks, a sausage sizzle and our famous John Deere ride-on tractor toys play area.
We had plenty of equipment on display including John Deere ride-on mowers, small to mid-horsepower tractors, GatorTM utility vehicles, STIHL lawn and garden equipment and John Deere compact construction equipment.
The day also featured the draw for our John Deere E100 ride-on mower giveaway competition with 96FM – Perth, with the main prize going to Elizabeth Roff from Bull Creek. The other 9 finalists received a $250 gift voucher to use in store.
AFGRI Equipment – Perth sales and parts manager Matt Utley said the open day was to show customers living in the Perth metropolitan area what we have on offer.
“In terms of AFGRI as a company within Perth, a lot of people would associate the John Deere brand with bigger tractors and farm machinery, so we're just trying to grow a bit of awareness that we do everything from smaller ride-on lawn mowers all the way up to tractors and everything in between,” Matt said. Matt said the open day was also to make people aware of the approachability of the store.
“We have a whole lot of toys and goodies for the kids when you come in, despite some people thinking we only deal with the big machinery sales,” Mr Utley said. “We want locals to know that kids are welcome and they can have an entertaining time at the store too.” With the success of this event and our STIHL Family Fun Day earlier in the year, the Perth branch looks forward to running more open days in 2021.
