The Next Generation of SmartGrade™
SmartGrade has been a solution for John Deere construction customers since 2016. Now, John Deere is introducing the next generation of SmartGrade technology for small dozers and CTLs. SmartGrade is now available with Leica and Topcon solutions, expanding the provider options for existing and new users.
Motor Grader Premium Circle
More speed. More torque. More consistent grade control accuracy. Featuring an industry-leading design, the Motor Grader Premium Circle option reduces operating costs while delivering more torque and speed than a traditional circle. The factory-installed Motor Grader Premium Circle option for all G-Series, GP-Series and SmartGrade™ motor graders. This industry-leading option features a fully sealed bearing-and-pinion design, reducing maintenance costs and downtime while significantly boosting circle torque and speed. With traditional circular designs, customers spend valuable hours in the shop replacing or shimming the wear inserts, rather than being on the job. Over the machine's lifetime, this downtime adds up, but it is necessary to maintain tightness for accuracy and to prevent damage to the circle. The Motor Grader Premium Circle option replaces wear inserts with a sealed bearing that only requires a few minutes to grease every 500 hours.
SmartGrade™
Move more material, more efficiently with John Deere SmartGrade™ Motor Graders. The industry’s first motor grader featuring fully integrated, mastless, 3D grade control from the factory, arriving at your jobsite ready to work. Unlike traditional aftermarket grade-control systems, John Deere’s innovative SmartGrade motor graders have no external masts or cables, allowing virtually unlimited range of grade-control and hydraulic functions. John Deere SmartGrade Motor Graders also include a new suite of intuitive automated features designed to lessen operator workload and boost productivity.
SmartDetect™ Technology
SmartDetect™ technology combines cameras, radar, and machine learning to help operators gain a clearer view of their surroundings. The system alerts operators when an object enters the machine’s projected path. This feature is available on John Deere Utility and Production Class Loaders. Customers can view footage of near-miss events captured through SmartDetect by subscribing to SmartDetect Digital, available in the John Deere Operations Center web and mobile.
SmartDetect™ Field Kits
SmartDetect™ alerts operators of objects entering the machine’s projected travel path, emitting sound and visual alerts inside the cab as well as an audible alarm to detected bystanders. SmartDetect requires Advanced Vision System (AVS), Advanced Rear Object-Detection System (ARODS), a G5 display, and software activation. The John Deere Advanced Vision System and SmartDetect can help enhance operator awareness, enabling confident navigation of busy work areas.
SmartGrade™ Automatic Mode for Compact Track Loaders
From the right joystick, click the trigger and put your John Deere SmartGrade™ Compact Track Loader into Automatic Mode. It will follow the map of the land, eliminating the need for someone to come out and check grade.
Integrated Grade Control in Compact Track Loaders
The John Deere SmartGrade™ 333G Compact Track Loader expands the capabilities of customers working in site development, roadbuilding, landscaping, residential and commercial building operations by enabling them to take on new tasks and larger jobs that require accuracy. The implementation of SmartGrade is the first time a fully integrated grade control technology is available on compact equipment.
