Movember team smash fundraising target for 2020 challenge

AFGRI Equipment would like to congratulate everyone involved on a very successful Movember Challenge for 2020. Movember is the hairiest month of the year where both men and women grow/ create moustaches for November to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s suicide. We also had many team members who took part in No Shave November or Move for Movember, to show their support for the challenge. After another great year of moustaches and fundraising, our team managed to raise an exceptional total of $6070 to support this great cause. The challenge’s success is particularly pleasing in what has been a challenging year for many with the COVID-19 pandemic. AFGRI marketing coordinator Timothy Roberts said the team had really outdone themselves in contributing to the challenge and helping to raise awareness of men’s health issues. “I would like to say a massive thank you to all the growers and staff who supported our Movember challenge this year,” Timothy said. “We had excellent engagement from across our branch network, from organising Movember meets to posting on social media to help build awareness. “It’s an awesome effort and well done to everyone involved.” We also held individual awards this year with Most Money Raised going to Carnamah’s Alan Kidd, Best Moustache to Albany’s Matt Holmberg and Most Creative Moustache shared between Esperance’s Farrin Parker and Renae Spencer.
