Another alternative with new lineup of Hagie sprayers

John Deere has announced an all-new lineup of HagieTM self-propelled sprayers for the Australian market as another alternative for broadacre farmers. HagieTM, a US sprayer specialist was acquired by John Deere in 2016. They offer a comprehensive selection of spraying equipment including three new sprayers - the STS12, STS16 and STS20. The sprayers are equipped with the usual features HagieTM are known for including high clearance, four-wheel steer and front boom but are also combined with John Deere’s precise, integrated and easy-to-use Precision Ag solutions as well as an all-new John Deere cab. Farmers can equip their sprayer with one of four sizes of HagieTM hybrid booms at working widths of 90-foot, 100-foot, 120-foot and 132-foot. The booms are strong, lightweight and versatile while Active Wing RollTM by Norac controls boom height when spraying across uneven terrain. The tank size for the new sprayers range from 4500 to 7500 litres. They also come equipped with PowrSprayTM technology for fast fills in under seven minutes at 1100 litre per minute as well as auto prime and onboard mixing. The sprayers are powered by John Deere PowerTechTM 9.0 litre engines generating 300 to 400 horsepower with the STS20 featuring dual turbos to maximise power while spraying. CommandDriveTM comes standard as well to monitor wheel slip while All Wheel Steer technology keeps the tyres in the same set of tracks while turning on headlands to reduce crop damage. Inside the cab, customers will be familiar with JDLinkTM, an integrated StarFireTM GPS receiver, Generation 4 CommandCenterTM display, AutoTracTM guidance as standard as well as free access to John Deere Operations Center leading to a common operator experience for previous John Deere owners. The sprayers will be available to order from June 2021. Customers are advised to contact their local AFGRI branch to register their interest or visit afgri.com.au for more information.
