Service pair recognised at Deere’s Technician Awards

AFGRI Equipment are very proud to have had two finalists in this year’s inaugural John Deere Technician Awards for Australia and New Zealand. The John Deere Technician Awards were established to recognise the hard work and expertise technicians provide to customers across the region. AFGRI’s Mat Turner and Joel Maclachlan were both finalists in their respective categories. Mat, based at our South Guildford branch, was nominated for Construction & Forestry Service Technician of the Year while Joel, based at our Geraldton branch, was a finalist for Service Apprentice of the Year. AFGRI group service manager Charles van Loggerenberg said the pair are fully deserving of this recognition. “I’d like to extend a big congratulations to Mat & Joel for being finalists and for all their efforts within the company,” Charles said. “Being nominated is a fantastic achievement and their hard work and the support they provide to our customers is outstanding.” John Deere Australia and New Zealand managing director Luke Chandler congratulated all who were nominated. “There is an enormous pool of talent working in Australia so all these finalists should feel incredibly proud of being named among the best in their field,” Luke said. “Technicians deliver services integral to the agriculture, construction and forestry industries, by not only providing vital back-up support and remote diagnostics, but by empowering operators to get the most out of their machinery and technology. “The role technicians play will only grow in importance as the machinery sector moves through a technological leap that will drive industry growth and efficiency, and we are delighted to be paying tribute to our best and brightest at our first ever John Deere Technician Awards.” AFGRI would like to congratulate Mat & Joel for receiving this honour and commend them on their efforts.
