TerrainCut™ Front and Wide-Area Mowers The John Deere Operations Center enables professional landscape contractors (PLC) and government agencies to manage their equipment more efficiently, increase productivity, and reduce labour costs.
By connecting their entire fleet, Operations Center becomes the one place for fleet operators to manage their equipment. Mowers, utility vehicles, compact tractors, construction equipment, even trucks and string trimmers can be connected and managed by the Operations Center.
JDLink M Modem A JDLink M Modem connects a piece of equipment to the John Deere Operations Center enabling fleet operators to manage their equipment from Operations Center.
A JDLink M Modem is standard equipment on:
JDLink M Modem installation attachments are available to field install a modem on:
See compatibility section for serial number breaks and requirements.
A JDLink M modem can also be field installed on older models, competitive equipment, and trucks. See the JDLink hardware compatibility guide for more information and supporting DTAC solutions.
John Deere Operations Center is available on PC, Apple iOS, and Android mobile apps The John Deere Operations Center brings equipment location, utilisation, and maintenance planning together enabling fleet operators to make better-informed decisions across crews, jobs, and properties.
All connected equipment provides GPS location, equipment status, GPS speed, geofencing alerts, curfew alerts, key switch hours, and maintenance planning. The JDLink M Modem reports additional machine data on many models of late-model equipment. See chart below for commercial mowers.

Operations Center map displaying past locations of a mower
Mobile view of Operations Center map showing GPS speed The JDLink M Modem regularly transmits the location, utilisation, and hours of operation of each piece of equipment in the fleet so it can be monitored in Operations Center.
The modem regularly transmits the equipment’s engine hours to inform maintenance planning and balance use.
Operations Center Maintenance Planner Factory or custom maintenance plans can be established in Operations Center. Maintenance alerts are sent when engine hours reach maintenance intervals.
Operations Center Machine Analyzer Tool On select products, the modem reports the time the equipment spent transporting, idling, and working. The Operations Center’s Machine Analyser tool reports usage data which allows you to analyse operator behaviour, identify causes of low productivity, and initiate corrective actions.
On select products, the modem reports the fuel level so you can dispatch fuel before your fleet runs low. Also, on select products an analysis of fuel consumption is available in the Operations Center Machine Analyzer Tool. Measuring fuel consumption enables you to address causes of excessive fuel use.
On select products, the modem transmits the trouble codes generated by the mower’s control units to the Operations Center. Addressing DTCs can reduce downtime and repair costs. For example, a low-engine oil pressure DTC can indicate an engine is low on oil. Addressing the issue can prevent costly downtime and repairs.
To help address issues quickly, when a DTC is generated, the Operations Center can display a push notification on the mobile app and send an email. Operations Center can also be configured to limit notifications to stop-level severity DTCs.
On select products, John Deere dealers can perform remote diagnostics, software programming, and adjustments without the cost of a service call.
A JDLink M Modem is standard equipment on:
A JDLink M Modem can be field installed on the commercial mowing products listed below. Field installation attachments simplify modem installation, and include brackets, mounting hardware, harness, and instructions. Field installation requires a JDLink M Modem to be ordered separately. The field installation attachments include a wiring harness therefore the modem should be ordered with the less harness option code.
