Double win caps off another fantastic Wagin Woolorama

It feels good to be back doing field days again. That was the buzz around staff on our sites at Wagin Woolorama earlier this March. With the global pandemic limiting the show season dramatically in 2020, it was a pleasure for AFGRI Equipment to put together a display for our customers at this year’s Make Smoking History Wagin Woolorama – the show celebrating its 118th year and 49th as Wagin Woolorama.

The two-day event, held on March 5 and 6 this year, celebrates coming together as a community and showcasing the diversity of agricultural life in WA with a mix of livestock, art, photography, craft, entertainment and more. It was our honour to also receive not one but two awards this year – Best Major Exhibitor and Best Exhibitor on Grounds, having won the latter last year as well.

We did things a little differently too this year with our marquee being moved to the other side of the site, which made a big impact in being able to showcase our equipment. Our site featured some exciting new equipment including the John Deere 8RX tractor, John Deere C650 air cart, and Bourgault CD848 frame-mounted seeder as well as a John Deere R4060 self-propelled sprayer with carbon fibre booms.

The site also featured equipment from Bredal, Kuhn, WEEDit, and Shelbourne as well as a wide range of John Deere toys, clothing and merchandise, A&I parts and STIHL lawn and garden equipment inside the marquee. We also had a large focus on Precision Ag with our PASC team there to answer any questions customers may have.

AFGRI marketing coordinator Timothy Roberts said winning the two awards was a testament to the hard work of our show team. “Winning the awards is a fantastic achievement,” Timothy said. “We spend a lot of time and effort in making sure our site features what our customers would like to see, and that everything looks great. “It’s very rewarding to be recognised with these awards.” AFGRI Equipment look forward to the 2022 show.
